Ways to Include Your Pet (without including your pet)
So it’s not realistic to have your pet present at your wedding. Here’s some inspirational ideas so you can still feel like your fur baby is part of your special day.
Engagement pics: If your pet can’t be at your wedding due to venue or logistics, perhaps they can be part of your engagement photo session. So many additional ideas can come to fruition if you are able to manage including them in your engagement pics. For instance, your wedding guestbook, save-the-dates and wedding invites. Honorable mention: You can actually get photos of your pet turned into stamps! (Minted.com)
Non-traditional first look: If you have the opportunity to do a first look in some capacity, perhaps your pet can be part of this. First looks, where the bride and groom aren’t yet in their wedding gear but want to see each other before the epic walk down the aisle, are a great opportunity for your pet to play a role in your day after all. Consider meeting at your local dog-friendly watering hole and having your photographer help capture these moments. This leads us to same-day video edits: If your photographer or videographer offers this feature, then there will be some adorable footage of your fur child with you.

Party favors: In honor of your pet, offer some treats for guests to take home to their beloved fur children.
Guest book: If you have the stye of guestbook where your guests can write their own personal message, consider having a page dedicated to your pet, where guests can leave sweet sentiments!
Wedding cake topper: Whether it’s on top of a three-tiered wedding cake or on top of the groom’s cake, talk to your bakery about a cake topper that pays homage to your four-legged kids.

Accessories: About anything is possible. If you want a locket with a picture of your pet tied into your flowers, that can be done. If you want your dog’s face on the groom’s socks, that can be done (Divvy Up Socks). If you want some personalized handkerchiefs for those happy tears, that can be done (wrenbirdarts). If you want your dog to adorn the cocktail napkins, that can be done (On Three Designs). The possibilities are endless, so do your research!
